My boxer just delivered 9 puppies 3 weeks ago. 2 died. the 7 survivors are in
perfect health. i took them to vet , she gave them worm pills. while at vets
i noticed while petting one of the puppies that she was shedding. i asked the
vet about this, she said to keep close eye on puppies if patches of hair
should start falling out to bring them in immediately. what could be the
problem ? by the way, the mother has a skin discoloration. it began before
she was bred. i took her to vet & vet gave her 3v caps, said she would be
ok. it got worse when she had the puppies. after the delivery she seems to be
doing better. coat is very shiny and dark are seems to be getting smaller. do
you think puppies could have contracted what momma has ?
You may need a second vet's opinion. Another possibility is to talk to a dermatalogist about your dog's skin problems.
