I have a male boxer that is one year old. I'm thinking about breeding him but don't know the first thing about it. He is registered with the AKC, and in perfect health. Do I need to get a doctor's note saying he is in good health? - posted by Shelby.
You should talk to the breeder of your boxer as your first step to determine if he should be bred. There is a great deal of responsibility on the part of the owner of the stud dog. Hip, eye, heart clearances are needed and again ask your breeder what other health problems are looked for in boxers - heart problems and allergies are common with this breed.
