Hi Mike, NEVER buy a puppy in a pet shop! You should ALWAYS buy a puppy from a reputable breeder. A good breeder should be a member of a breed club and have a sincere interest in breeding quality dogs. By dealing with a breeder you should be able to get reliable info about all the dogs on the pedigree used. A breeder will also be available to answer all your questions about your new family member. This means the time before you choose your pup and certainly all the questions you will have after the puppy comes home.
