Two months ago our family adopted a 9 month old male beagle from a family who had 4 children. He was given very little structure during his first 9 months, being tied outside... We are more involved in his training, however. He definately has moments of aggression when he is trying to keep food objects or things he has stolen. Often these outbursts come as a surprise to us. Otherwise. he has a sweet personality.

Dear Bif- I have a 9 month old border collie pup that is food aggressive. This is because the breeder fed all the pups from the same bowl. At dinner time, the BC will rush the dominant dog in the house (a westie), and initiate a fight.

My dog is 1 1/2 years old we had her with us since she was 2 months. She is very scared and timid. I will be joining a Group Class to help alleviate some of the problems in March. The major problem I am expericing with her now is when I go near her when she has one of her bones she growls and shows her teeth.
