Viewer Question Topic: Dogs With Children
Dear Bif, I have a five year old, purebred, neutered male, Shiba Inu that was not raised
around children. He had no contact with them until he was 1.5+ years old. I
noticed he reacted to children under ten years old, by snapping at them when
they try to pet him. I try to keep him away from children because of this
action.....

My wife & I have a 4 year old chesapeake bay retriever (hawkeye) & a 18 month old son. for the most part the two have been doing well together. Hawkeye had to make adjustments to our son learning to crawl & walk etc., & I was generally pleased...hawkeye has been very wary of the baby for the last week to ten days & this morning snapped at him....

Dear Bif, We have adopted a lab mix from a shelter a year ago. Jack was
about a year old and has a confusing past so we're not really sure about how
he was treated. He is very mouthy although improved greatly it can still be
a nuisance when we have guests. He also will help himself to the kids'
toys( ages 4 and 7) right out of their toy box! ...
